Rescue stories

First-person accounts from the households we work with.

The shelter directory at /shelters is the institutional version of this work — the addresses, the founding dates, the operational scale of the rescues whose work makes adoption possible. The rescue stories below are the household version — the actual humans who walked into those shelters, the specific dogs who came home, the months that followed.

We collect these because customers send them in (along with their adoption-day photographs) when they order a Companion Edition, and because the studio is, at its honest core, a small documentary project disguised as a poster shop. The address gets framed; the story doesn't always. Both belong in the household.

If you adopted a rescue and would like to write your story for this pillar, the studio inbox is contact@fieldandera.com. Stories are edited lightly for length and clarity; the voice stays yours. We do not pay for stories, and the publication does not require a poster order.
